                           Wednesday Check-in process

You must check-in with the Men's Club no later than 30 minutes prior to the scheduled tournament tee-off time. The Men's Club Check-in desk is manned from 6:30 to 7:00 AM, for 7:30 tee-offs (Daylight Savings Time); and 7:00 to 7:30 AM for 8:00 AM tee-offs (Standard Time). Failure to do so can result in loss of your reserved spot in your foursome if a stand-by player is available. It can also result a monetary fine.

The Men's Club Check-in desk is located in the foyer of the Santa Rosa Pro Shop, for those playing on Santa Rosa; and in Boulevards Restaurant area, for those playing on San Gorgonio.

When you Check-in you must pay a $5 Entry Fee. The Entry Fee is used as a source of funds for prizes to Men's Club tournament winners. The prizes are deposited into individual Sweeps Accounts of each winner by the Pro Shop, following the tournament.

On the third Wednesday of each month a Men's Club Luncheon is held. On these Wednesday's an additional $20 is required. The total Entry Fee is then $25.

Please make an effort to have the correct amount of money available for each type of tournament.  If it is available, change can be made for ten and twenty dollar bills, however when such bills are used it slows down the signup process.  larger bills than a twenty will not be accepted (the Pro Shop can usually make change).

After you have paid your Entry Fee the Tournament coordinator will either give you a score card or will tell you who in your foursome has it. If you do not know the others in your foursome you can ask for assistance at the Men's Club Check-in desk or, place a Men's Club cone with your starting hole number on it on your golf cart.

A representative from the Pro Shop, also seated at the Men's Club Check-in desk, will ask you how you want to pay your green fees; coupons, cash or charge to your account.

If for any reason you find that you cannot play after you have signed-up it is requested that you contact the Tournament Chairman at 862-5727  so that another player can fill your spot. If you find that you need to cancel at the last minute the Men's Club requests that you make every attempt to contact someone (Pro Shop, friend, etc.) who can convey your cancellation notice to the Men's Club Check-in desk. No-shows without legitimate excuses may be fined.

It the goal of the Men's Club that your golfing experience be as rewarding as possible. If all Men's Club members strive to follow these Check-in processes we hopefully will achieve this goal.

                            Players without an index

If you do not have a SCGA index and wish to play in the club events please contact your handicap chairman, Angus Deveaux, or the tournament chairmen- Mike Pritchard or Bill Bennett at (862-5727) and we can arrange for a temporary handicap for you.

                                    Tee Assignments

Blue Tees - anyone that wishes to play from the Blue Tees is welcome to do so. While no one is required to play the Blues, we recommend that if you are over a 25 handicap you seriously consider playing from the Blue Tees (you might have more fun!). If you are a 24 and below we recommend that you consider playing from the gold tees, but it is not required. Once you have selected the tees you wish to play from you must continue to play from those tees. You cannot switch back and forth. Please contact the handicap chairman, John Hull, if you have any questions.

Note: The Men's Club Telephone( 862-5727) has an answering device. Simply leave your information and it will be picked promptly. Please do not request a call back. If you wish someone to call you back send an email.
