Most of the Club's photographs are now posted on an external site called Flickr.
Click on the link below to access that site.

Thanks to Jim Stucker for the work on this

Most of you will have no trouble negotiating the new site but a few of
the details may be unfamiliar at first.  First, you will notice that
Flickr is a social site.  Our pages are open to anyone (just as the
mvmgc.net site is).  And you will see buttons where you can "sign in"
or "join."  But you don't have to.  YOU DO NOT NEED TO JOIN ANYTHING OR
SIGN UP FOR ANYTHING TO VIEW OR DOWNLOAD OUR PHOTOGRAPHS.  Just enjoy.
If you someday want to joint and to share some of your own photographs,
that is your concern.

We choose Flickr because it allows us to present photographs and
graphics in greater quantity and greater detail (resolution) than ever
before.  Click on the link and you can BROWSE through all of our old
and new photos, or you can SEARCH for specific ones by name or keyword,
and you can DOWNLOAD them to your computer for viewing or printing, or
email them to a friend or to a third-party printing site.

USING THE SITE

When the link opens you will see a page of photographs -- individual
photographs on the left and groups or "sets" of photos on the right.
The sets there currently include "officers," "holes in one," and some
illustrative stuff from last year, including "roadrunner" and "lads &
lasses."  We expect to add many more photos and a few more classes as
the year progresses.

You can view those photos by simply browsing down the page, and then on
to page 2, page, 3, etc.  Or you can click on a "set" and then browse
through the photos in that set.  Or you can search for particular
photos of particular people or events.  (The search button in initially
at the top-right of the page.)   For example, "officers" will bring you
all of the photographs of our current officers; "reboton" will bring
you all the photos of Tony that we have posted; etc.

Each photograph has a title (above it) and many have a description
(below).  Those are all searchable.  Later you will see how you can add
your own comment to a particular photograph if the title and
description do not seem adequate.

When you see a photo that interests you, just click on it and a larger
size will appear.  Just above this photo you will see a small icon
allowing you to see even more sizes and resolutions.  If you want to
download the photo or have it printed, you can choose from three or
four or more resolutions.  Several of which allow excellent prints at 5
by 7 inches, or even 10 by 12 or larger.

To download a photograph, you click on that "all sizes" button and
then, on the next screen, you choose the size/resolution you desire and
press the "download" button.  About as easy as it can get!

To print a photograph you can download it for output on your own
printer; or you can download it, copy the file to a transportable media
(CD, flash drive, etc) and carry it to a photo-processing shop; or you
can email it to a printing place.  Each of you will probably have your
own preferences for printing.
